Awakening at dawn each day gifts pleasures
Light its first, for rays to penetrate galactic irises
Fine-tuning pupils to discern, multifarious shapes
A multitude of colours, the sundry possessions
Surrounding me in my abode, clouded
By sleepy eyes the misty vision of cerulean walls
In my cocooning shelter I indulge, in dwelling
A little longer in softness, under
The salacious warmth of a royal blue quilt, caressing
My sapphire bedsheets I observe, my fingers,
Their movement, my scarlet nails perusing creases
I gaze at the window, its dark oak frame I bathed
In varnish more than once, the pink lace orchid by it
The mood of its blossoms glimpsing a sliver
Of a cyan sky, nippy breeze stealthily intruding
To kiss my cheeks as if bidding me good morn,
It is time for my feet to encounter the ancient hues
Of my persian bedside carpet, distracted
By my self-portrait, image of an impregnated womb
I fantasise on what the new day will bestow
Upon me, what I will give it in return other than
Gratitude, I feel the strength of my legs, my body rises
Fulfils my every desire as I move, in space
Down the stairs my hands by reflex start grinding
Coffee beans, exuding scents arousing
My salivary glands, anticipating ambrosia
I light the fire, blue and orange flames murmur
I shower, eternal droplets verbena fragrance
The gurgling sound my timer, I slide in my white robe
My lips unseal to gulp the brand new day begins.
