I travel through splendorous darkness
On a dancing vessel dressed in blue.
Alone, I named my vessel and fell in love
With her much like the Prince with his rose.
She is delicate, impulsive, powerful and fragile,
The fertility of her fantasy, tenaciously unique.
She has verve and velocity and is in love
With someone else. A luminary she pursues,
Revolves around him, for him not me
She dances, flaunting grace to be noticed,
Longing for the embrace of an impossible lover
Who colours her vibrations as he ignores her.
He is in love with someone else. Blackness,
A violent gaoler, engulfing anyone who crosses
Its point of no return, pulling on invisible shackles
Those left beyond the horizon, the luminary, my vessel
And billion others, towards a princess he adores.
Yet for them love is true, they are falling into each other,
To merge and meld, become one another and they will,
Though together they are being hauled by a virgin,
She too is in love, chast, shy, and demure
She does not dare to throw herself alone
Into the arms of a beguiling Great Attractor,
For the nature of his attractiveness is dark and obscure,
He is definitely concealing something behind his allure.
And though they are all thrusting themselves his way at two
Point one six million kilometres per hour
They are pretty sure he is in love with someone else.
