I’D USE AN OAR TO ROW

Clear visions of my destinations
Run along the river of time.

A current of experiences left behind me
Afore me floating milestones which despite
Their oneiric origins feel achievable,
Realistically possible much like
Reaching mirages of edenic oases
In deserts where a thousand scorching suns
Would not, could not discourage
Nor impede my epic advance.

Golden sands traded in for darkness
I navigate the unknown.

Mysterious beacons send enthralling signals
Which I follow through a vibrating expanse
Where storms and threatening thunders
Would not, could not arrest my journey
Amidst entreating distant glittering buoys
Suggesting the way along the sole
Strictly nonlinear path that can take me
To the lighthouses built for me by Morpheus.

The river wills to drive my motion
Yet if only I had an oar I know
I would reach my destinations.
