THIS IS WHO YOU ARE

In love lie truths invisible to eyes,
Enthused dilated pupils are blind, vision
Fogged by mist wittily diffused by the mind,
Its conniving whispers and tricky desires.

Senses accomplice claim reality in their dominion
They solely perceive what they long to, disallowing
Reason hushing its intuitions, disregarding
Them as groundless, flaunting wicked smiles.

But true love does not spring from the mind,
Nor is it fruit of the senses, it does not ponder
Nor does it ever fall for subterfuges, godlike
It exists beyond time, always has is and will be

Silently permeating the universe, exploding it into life
Omniscient and omnificent it reveals itself
In all and only to itself, to the part of itself bewildered
Humanity has named consciousness and of which

Smithereens we occasionally grasp. And when we do

Unexpectedly overwhelmed by ardent excitement
Imbued with intrepid joy we are suddenly filled
With a mystifying feeling of almightiness and fragility
And that is the moment love speaks the truth.

Unveiled, the games of mind and senses set aside
For an instant in eternity we finally grasp
What deep down we always knew, our essence,
Our blood, the swirling particles composing us,

True love is all-pervading and you cannot
Love the One if you cannot love the All.

Creation is either “in love” or “out of love”
Freed in one and shackled in the other so distrust
The creeping suggestions that lead you
To believe that you are in love with an individual

If you are not in love with humanity as a whole.
It’s a lie and you should know.
