Insight on the Rocks

A desert a waterless riverbed
Burning thirst body tremors
A fainting feeling of “enoughs”
Wilted flowers in my mind.
As I crave for an authentic spirit
To ease my unquenchable addiction
I look for inspiring melodies of people
Voicing thoughts. I long for more.
Drooling over an intelligent opinion
A logical argument able to defy
A brain worn out by apathy refusing
To heed yet another useless note.
A sip of an original idea one that is not
Based on quoting books parroting others
One that springs from elaborate intuition
One that strikes the listener compelling
Me to wonder and ponder reconsidering
Malleable stances eager to thrive and evolve
Absorbing elements of cognitive impact
For thirst to be quenched and mind to blossom
Once more.
