Not to be wasted

I never left you yet I am back.
A year is over another just began.

You measure time with my presence,
With the smiles I offer the hour I pass by.
You gaze out your window, sit at the bar,
Walk through streets fancying you might

Encounter me per chance. Feed off me

I am acquainted with your appetite,
You hunger for my attention, as fledglings
Starving for the worms mothers holds in their beak,
As I give you the believable impression

You are someone. Not invisible to my eyes
Someone loved, someone who deserves to be seen.

This year I wish you to feel, a little less
Lonely, free yourself from solitude, a little less
Worried, free yourself from torment, a little less
Inadequate, free yourself from judgement.

This year I wish you some excitement,
For your life not to be boring, peace of mind

For your life not to be wasted.
