Truth needs heroes

My dear fish humans are drowning
In an ocean of confusion glittering ruby
Globules droplets of blood streaming
From their ears suffering the pressure

To survive.

With all their genius, their clever intuitions
Amidst their inventions they are lost
In an age they glorify for the availability
Of information pumping flows

Of pompous words they voraciously gulp
As if they were the last drops of fresh water
On the globe. They call this water News,
Whilst some divulge it others conceal it,

Truth has acquired so many hues it is now able
To satisfy fancies ranging from white to black
So that each, may pick one, a life buoy,
Tailor-made and personal, to each its own.

Following sensations announced as breaking
Waves hit so hard they are thrust
Into currents of conspiracies wearing scepticism
As their only costume they are exposed

To the stinging tentacles of eloquent jellyfish
Stunning them to manipulate their thoughts,
Instil ideas galvanising spirits to take action
Against, abstruse enemies and invisible monsters.

They promise to lead humanity to a safe port
On an island for the righteous to plaud their ego
Fill superior, to all those who refused the buoy
Still drowning in an ocean of confusion

Striving to resist.

On that island for a blanket, of comfort
A semblance of safety they willingly renounce
To their freedom acquiescing
Never to swim again.

My dear fish please hurry, truth is plummeting
In the abysses and needs heroes to be saved.
