I love you

For some reason I love you,
I wanted to tell you, last night yet I didn’t,
Thought you might find it weird.
And it is, an awkward necessity
Perhaps a human one, to say the words
From time to time to someone, just anyone,
Haply even everyone, as long as they are far,
Not to fall, not to lose control, oneself
To shout them, whisper or write them
I chose you, you inspired them,
Maybe because we both wished to invent them.
Shivers suggested you might need to hear them
As much as I to pronounce them.
Every once in a while such pretty vocables seem
To conceal my true essence, uttered
The taste on my lips that of freedom.
Only jailed by my passions, obsessions,
Swallowing my will, my time, my lightness,
Spoken, they feel like an act of rebellion.
For some reason I love you,
I wanted to tell you, last night yet I didn’t,
Thought you might find it weird.
