You play a peaceful symphony
Its notes enshroud your being
Effusing scents of placid calmness
Diffusing vibrations of quelling resonance.
You contaminate your surroundings
By infusing sparks of possibilities
Infecting some with hope and others
With annoyance, mixed feelings.
Clashing waves diverging ripples
Reverberations of envy and admiration
Luring some to smile and others
To demur, “Not all can be as peaceful as you!”,
He said quasi reprimanding my serenity
As if there was something wrong with it
As if it was deplorably intrusive, it pains me
That my chords may hurt you, I don’t mean to,
I only thought they might revive you
Vivify your sentiments of grateful bliss
In times of conscienceless oblivion
When you forget to be content
For all the god-sent mercies you receive.
