Plenum

As I gaze deep into my eyes reflected
By aluminised moulded sand I fixate,
On cloudy scleras broken capillaries
Crimson rivulets pouring into black wells.

A Universe within, mirroring all that exists,
A staring contest with Self, victorious only
If I dare, to see, look beyond peruse a cosmos
Where all is possible to a mind merely beginning

To comprehend, grasp the vastness of a bewildering world.
Each time I re-emerge the marvels I have seen differ.

The existence I perceive imbued with myriad colours
Shows me strings of vibrating energies unfolding
Mystifying creations of beguiling nature galore
Granting life to spirits made of flesh and bones.

Nervous synapses able to witness its omnificence
I indulge, in theories and conjectures turning
Oxytocin into a noble sentiment and love
Into a hormonal addiction, a matter of perspective.

Humanity at the centre of it all or on the edge
Of a spiralling galaxy one of many billions
Hurtling through space along the river of time
Giving up uniqueness for a unique reality immense.

I delve in deeper, behold relentless evolution
As nothing is created nor destroyed I observe
Mutating substances melting icebergs collapsing stars,
Water vapours rise to contrive shades of white

Clouds appearing dragons to kids’ sight.
Fantasy at the core of insight I toy with physics
Of limitless imagination, evident solely
To a unifying consciousness increasingly becoming

Aware of itself. Whilst ancestors leave a legacy
I dwell on discerning realms, created by the gods
Or sheerly visited by ancient astronauts, succumbing
To a divine volition or purely guided by a will of my own.

As nature abhors vacuum inexistent emptiness
Perfused by swirling particles intelligence a spark
Of overwhelming intuition connecting me to all.
Why something rather than nothing I still wonder in awe.

Dazzled by magnificence I resurface
From my cavernous pupils shining impulses of gratitude.
