Ariocarpus Cactus

There is a certain care we devote
To things that tickle our fancy and raise
Our curiosity erecting passions.
I see it in the way you wash and change
Before drizzling water upon your cactuses
Speak to them and watch them grow.
I witness it each time you pick flowers
For your lady a meticulous choice, her eyes,
Of delicacy and beauty defended by thorns,
Ouch!
I perceive it as you narrate the story of Tupillil
How you found the coffer concealing ancient maps
Your journey to the borders of unknown worlds.
I perceive it in your wish to return, endure and engage
In the longest voyage, the hardest one,
Testified by your artworks, colours and engravings
Precious methods of ancient typography.
I decipher it in the symbols of your conception
The ingenious alphabet you cleverly invented
You remind me, the creativeness of mankind.
