Emotions raise confusing sentiments we submit
Under the careful scrutiny of reason, as if
All we were was mind and mind solely could be
Trusted. Yet before a thought act perceptions,
Intuitions led by instincts to accustom to the tribe.
One encompassing many billion individuals
Curious creatures unrecognising pieces of itself,
Treating every cell as a single separate entity
Neglecting to see the unity of a body abiding laws,
Of nature while believing it is following its own.
Erecting itself to creator forgetting its own nature
Itself a creation and indeed a mirific one.
A rhythmic succession of instants sees it grow
Witnesses imperturbable in silence life
Carry out its course, along the river of time
Waiting for the moment to arrive
When finally in unity the tribe veers
Begins to trust emotions igniting passions,
Unveiling traits of audacity, temerity, astonishing
Endurance. Sentiments holding up high
Innate feelings of kinship, compassion, cooperation
And love, disabling mind to quell them
In the name of a superior God, a banknote
A broken system crumbling at the terminus
Where all becomes one.
