Little girl was baptised

The man solemnly preached
In a paternal voice the honour
The privilege the responsibility
Bestowed upon those who choose
To enter the sacred domus
Of the divine a shelter
From perdition solitude
Sin and hatred, Do you believe
In a solicitous saviour a father
Someone who unfailingly loves
Each and everyone of us present
Through it all and beyond? I do.
The answer opening wide the gates
Holy droplets of water poured
On foreheads proclaiming the grandeur
Of life its boons galore granted
By a spirit on a sole condition
To live, an existence of love
Treating others like ourselves
Heeding pains rejoicing
For collective achievements
Sentiments, of happiness shared
Instead of ill intentions evil thoughts
Perpetual redemption from mistakes
We fall into in times of despair
When we forget neglect to feel
Our beauty and that of a world
Amiably receiving us to endure
Compassion and cooperation until
The day will come we’ll die and behold
With new eyes the crystal clear
Reality of a universe intense
Infinitely mirific where energy assumes
A texture a form only to evolve,
Mutate and carry on within
Endless time, in sæcula sæculorum
Amen.
